I have no idea when Black Friday is but this link is pretty cool.
It is today in the US, but in 'Yerp and on the Internet it has been going on for weeks. (My phone company just sent me another time-wasting SMS about it...)

Brilliant
Black Friday in the US is the traditional beginning of Christmas shopping season, and it occurs the day after Thanksgiving, which is always the 4th Thursday of November. So, Black Friday can occur from November 23 to November 29, depending on the calendar (there are seven different November calendars).
It has a history of creating super-sales in brick-and-mortar stores that have Black Friday sales with prices below wholesale for a limited number of shoppers, with many stores opening earlier than usual, and people camping out overnight in front of the door of the store. Much of those super-sales has been moved to online shopping in recent years, so Black Friday is not as visible from a satellite at 4AM as it may have been 30 years ago.
Black friday here in Estonia, EU is just some kind of hype, not related to anything (we don't celebrate Thanksgiving) - and includes sometimes even whooping 20% off from selected products - in other words usual (almost non-)discount campaign.
