Hi,
It's a tough way to go to manufacture. IIRC that 645D was.$10k initially. I expect that a wide image GFX - also a fixed NM lens and jo IBIS - would be at least that much today.

It's not for me, but I hope it sells well. Then, perhaps, they might pop out a wide variant using dual 100 MP sensors.
Is the use of dual sensors common in the camera world?
Hi,
Nope. Only one I can think of is the 40 MP Kodak CCD used in the Pentax 645D.

they definitely followed the retro theme and included 20 yold focus accuracy ๐
Hi,
Yep. IIRC there had been 3 or 4 such Fuji 120 format film fixed lens rangefinder units in the past. 6x9 comes right to mind. And this looks like a digital redux of that. It probably sports a rangefinder focusing display in the EVF just like my GFX-100 does. That would complete the rangefinder experience.
Well, it isn't for me but it is still a reasonable offering. And, it's not like Sony 44x33mm 100 MP sensors are in short supply these days.

My camera has a thing called an optical viewfinder and the lens has a ring called focus. Quite useful when focusing on a subject
Nope, I definitely remember having a 28mm lens before mobile phones were even invented, and its why I've used the WCL on my Fuji X100's one the years because I personally prefer 28mm fov to 35 or 24, but that's just meEqually, I like the design aesthetic as well
post a portrait head shot / half body at 28 mm. second thoughts dont i can see your avitar is one ๐
Had a bad day Donald?
Not sure I'd use a 28 for portraits, although environmental portraits do spring to mind, but if my avatar bothers you that much, when I've got the time and inclination I'll take a standard and probably very boring self portait that your camera club would be proud of ๐
enviromental portrait ! the af is that bad it would look like someone walked infront of the camera while taking a shot ๐ seriously its 2025 $9000 AUD camera

i have handsaws and electric mitre saws. each has its place on my truck. but i just dont go to a job with a handsaw, peice of sandpaper, and a hammer. i go with a truck full of every electic and air tool. thats the difference between a pro and home handyman ๐
@AlanSh has written:Donald, less of the implied insults please.
its a photography forum, cant people see distorted images ! our camera club would be in a better shape if people were told the truth about their images, instead its fallen to bits over the years and everyone is blind to the reason why. the new fuji camera is just following the phone trend, in fact if you took the new fuji to dinner and took a table full of guests in low light a phone would blow it away.
Great reply to Alan's request by piling on even more insults to everyone here and Fuji.
Dumpster?

Ergo, by implication you always use AF and think of yourself as a pro for that very reason. Sad, sad, sad ...

When you shoot 1000 portraits a day like i do some days thats when you buy the best eye /face auto focus system of any camera and thats the A7iv and back up a close 2nd a6700. I dont even look through the evf but a large monitor, nothing sad about perfect AF and making easy money. manual focus doesnt even come close. its for people that like to play with there gear.

Ergo you are being a pita over a camera that is not suited to taking 1000 portraits of muts every day. Just what point are you trying to prove beyond that you appear to have a closed mind and that every camera ever invented must suit just your needs

We could turn it into C & C
I will start by asking for comments on focus on the grass?
There is already a thread for C & C
