This possibly juvenile falcon flew over my head a little too close for comfort then landed for a short while in a small dead tree 15-20 meters away.
[edit] The light was getting low, hence the noise with a small sensor...

Beautiful captures, I like how the falcon is staring at you. I had a similar experience. Last winter I was walking our dog through a local park and a perigrine falcon swooped down within an inch of my head and also ended up in a nearby tree. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me.

Do you think the Peregrine had an eye on your dog? I got the feeling the falcon I saw was sizing up my dog. No chance of course, the dog being too big.

Our dog is also too big, a standard poodle, I think it wanted my wool hat.
