Three things, that apply here and elsewhere.
If you go off in a huff, and stop posting on a site you like, the asshole(s) who has provoked you for his own perverse enjoyment has achieved his goal. So doggedly stay and carry on using the site. Do not let the asshole win.
It it pretty easy to spot those who are out to cause trouble. Just do not reply to any of their posts, even sensible posts. They eventually get fed up and do not bait you anymore. I have my own personal ignore list, which is thankfully very short here.
Almost all social media has a certain percentage of strange behaviour, including those who compulsively must have the last word, even at the cost of obsessive repetition. Just ignore those posts. DPR threaded view easily exposed this sort of behaviour.
Yes, I did not use the usual T word, it is far to kind.
Do you really think that only a single member is to blame for the nose dive in participation on dprevived?
According to the op it is definitely more than one member going by the thread title and op.
Screenshots floating around the www of NCV attempting to insult members here and at dpreview by calling them arseholes and the op of this thread childishly attempting to insult a member here using the T word certainly don't help encourage new membership and participation here.
You should look at your own behaviour here in the same way you analyse other people's behaviour.

Pretty much, yes
All forums suffer from problematic posters. Sometimes they are pure theatre of the absurd.
I cannot remember where, but I came across an amusing thread where some weirdo had created multiple accounts so that he could cheat and win DPR photo challenges. A couple of people called him out, with comical results. Yes, people cheat on DPR picture challenges.

I think I'll close off this thread. If anyone feels that is wrong, please PM me.
