Is there a way to include the camera brand name in the exif data underneath the embedded pictures?
For example, recent pictures have been identified as:
    Camera: E-PL2
    Camera: DC-G9 I
    Camera: ILCE-6400

I'm not experienced enough to know what cameras these are, and have to stop and do a google search to find out.

I'll add it to the feature request list. You want 'camera maker' as well as 'camera model' out of the exif.

E-PL2, DC-G9 I,ILCE-6400 ; these are acronyms, if not pseudonyms.
It helps, if you add the #camera maker".

Yes, I think that's what I said in the post above yours. I've added it to the feature request list.

It would also be nice to have the name of the lens displayed, although with that one line would probably be not enough to list everything.

[sarc] make sure to include a model-number scrambler so that, for example, an actual Sigma 'dp2 Quattro' becomes a "DP2q" [/sarc]

It was almost de rigeur over on DPR to change a manufacturer's model-number to something more 'normal' to the poster's eye. [sarc] It's creeping in here too, for example, "a74" which is so much more convenient to one's thumbs than "Alpha 7 mark IV" ... [/sarc]

The usual riposte to my whining was that it didn't matter so long as we knew what it meant. But Sigma screwed that up by using lower case letters for their later series of model prefixes. Some folks could not cope with that, in spite of the fact that a Sigma DP2 is a completely different camera to a Sigma dp2.

I thought it was an S-DpII, no?

They are neither acronyms, nor pseudonyms.

"ILCE" is an acronym but "ILCE-6400" is an actual camera model ID.

Thank you Alan. That would be helpful.
