Just to let everyone know that I have started to instigate a 'cooling off' period for anyone who is insulting or trolling. This is not a ban as such, but the person concerned cannot view or post for a period of 1-3 days (depending on what I set up).
So, please all continue to be nice to each other (as most of you are) and carry on posting the fantastic (best in the world) pictures that I see on here.
If you have any issues with this, feel free to PM me.

This is a good idea and well overdue imo. I just hope it is applied fairly and consistently.
While on my "all expenses paid short holiday" from dprevived I did however pop in a couple of times to see what is going on and I could see every thread and post except for those in the Dumpster.
Obviously I couldn't log in or use the search function.

I'm talking about the censorship system here, about not allowing some members to think and write freely in the way they like...
To be fair, there has been no censorship here.
I know from personal experience, about all about the absurde arbitrary moderation on DPR carried out by Fanboy moderators. That is not happening here, even with posts removed to the "dumpster".
The need for moderation here was brought about by rude and idiotic, personal attacks, I believe. I am certain if you do not start being rude to other members, you will be fine. I think they had to act to make sure this remained a welcoming place to talk about photography.
Part of the reason enforced "short term holidays" has been introduced is the reaction of members to blatant false statements of some members towards other members.
That is largely fixed now because there are several places elsewhere where people can speak with total freedom.
