My 12-24 Sigma wide angle had been gathering dust, for a good while. It would not autofocus on my D810 (incompatible), But playing around with it on my D850, I surprisingly found AF works. This lens dates from my days with the Nikon D70. Suddenly this lens has become useful again.

For my Sunday afternoon walk I decided to go back to pre mirrorless and take the D850 our for a spin. I had forgotten the pleasure of a good optical viewfinder. When I got home, I found that my pictures were sharp, despite not having IBIS or VR. The Sigma 12-14, is still a good lens. I guess the heft of this camera helps reduce camera shake. I also dug out the 70-200 F4, which does have very good VR

The D850 is my tripod camera, for Architectural photography. I use live view 99% of the time with it. I have been mirrorless since the Olympus EM5, for general photography. The more button driven D850 is more pleasurable to use compared with any mirrorless, so I think I will repeat the experience.
