    Some suggestions:
    1. Is it possible to use a smaller font size, so one can see more posts on one screen
    2. can the categories page be made a bit mor structured like

    main category
    - sub category
    - sub category

    main category
    - sub category
    - sub category

I think, this would give more overview than the current display

For rhe second one, we did have that to start with and the list was long and almost impossible to navigate.

For the first one, we will look into it. But it will take time (but I do agree - the post list font size is too big).

Thanks for your feedback. I think the list becomes shorter as the font size is reduced, but I think these multicolumn entries for the sub categories is as terrible to overview as the long list is to navigate.
Is it possible to get one way or the other dependent of individual user settings?

Not yet. We are working on making it look better. I have seen plans for the next version of the forum s/w where that is discussed, but I don't know when (or if) it will be implemented.

It may end up being part of Themes, but that's a way off down the road.

It would be nice if font size and type could be user selected.

My eyes are used to it now but when I first saw a word like willing, the "illi" looked like a dirty blob on my screen. Maybe its time for glasses...

With the large font size, a lot of scrolling is required and it's hard not to get lost in lengthy threads (and with multiple inline quotes per thread, sometimes a single post takes up more than the window/screen can accommodate).

The situation will be improved if a threading view is implemented similar to the 'old' DPR, where the thread is displayed as a list and only one post is 'expanded' at a time. But even so, having a smaller font size would still be desirable IMO.

In fact, in terms of look and feel (dark mode, font size, threading, notifications etc), the DPR site got most things right - or close enough, so familiarity aside it provides a decent model IMO.
