HAND.
im not interested in what the camera companies define it as . im interested in an english masters explanation.
Typical marketing blurb. A phrase that says everything and means nothing.
With no other information it suggests to me that the camera will identify using AI where the subject is and focus on it.
The AI Auto Focussing works in my experience.
"Fake Intelligent Auto Focus " so ive just bought the latest and greatest AF system of any camera on the market. Sony a6700 with its own AI chip. the menu system on just the AF thats suppose to be Intelligent is so complex and far from the truth is just ridiculous. my A7iv was reviewed as being the best AF system "That just works" no adjusting in the menus at all. it has just taken me 1 week to set up the AF system on the a6700 because out of the box it couldnt even focus on a birds eye. the a7iv nailed it 100% of the time. Now wouldn't you call that intelligent 🤨
The marketing is correct its "Fake = Artificial 😀
Your experience with it is clearly different to mine.
Anyone interested can do their own tests to determine how good or bad it is.
I have no issues with it.
AI is the new sales buzzword used for everything just like blockchain was a few years ago 😂
I just stumbled onto this reserach: Adverse impacts of revealing the presence of “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” technology in product and service descriptions on purchase intentions
Does that mean it benefits low risk products and is a disadvantage to use it for high risk products? I was a bit confused reading it.

Bad grammar - missing hyphens as happens so often these days.
Time flies like an arrow: fruit flies like a banana ... death of the hyphen - R.I.P.
