Fringe tree detail, taken in early evening, from our patio in the Shenandoah Valley. The tree is in the Oleaceae (olive) family and native to eastern US. This isn't in the 'wild' but was planted probably in the late 1980s. Taken with the Sigma DP3Quattro, camera at hand, but I couldn't get the whole tree in one frame with the fixed prime 75mm equivalent LOL. I was specializing in close-ups of peonies. A detail of part of the tree is on flickr as well as this photo in large detail size
