My Canon R7 and 18-150 is on order and I’m now thinking about UWA.

    I’ve used a Sigma 10-20 on my APS-C Pentaxes.
    What for Canon?

I know I need an adapter so two questions:

    Which adapter?
There are two, one being twice the price. Benefits? What about 3rd party?

    Which UWA?
    Seems to be 3 options
    Sigma 10-20 again.
    Canon EF-S 10-22
    Canon EF-S 10-18

The 10-22 and Sigma are similar size and weight; the 10-18 is smaller and lighter but possible cheaper construction.
    Getting mixed messages about quality.

    So comments appreciated

There's a rumour that something like the 11-22 will be announced soon. On my M, that was (is) my favourite lens.

I did like the EF-s 10-18 when we still had a few canon APS-c Eos camera's. a nice light lens that delivers good results and even had IS

I think it’s likely Canon will announce something like this and I’d also wait for it if possible. Third party lenses often have focusing problems with the R series. Although that’s not much of a problem at 10 to 22 mm, I’d rather not deal with the hassle.

I am very happy with my EF-S 10-22. You can get mint condition used lenses through Ebay for about $150-200. Prices keep dropping for the EF/EFS lenses. I don't mind using the adaptor on my R7, especially at those prices. I just bought an EF 100 macro for about $200. This is not a blemish or any sign of use. It was shipped, no charge from Japan and arrived in 4 days.
