Great work - I like the contrast and separation between the sky and land. Is it a composite or red filter? or two exposures land + sky?

The one above is a BW conversion through software. The color version is this:
I may have used a CPL, but am not sure. It was taken at f/8 1/160 ISO 100, at around 11 AM in July, so I'm thinking that I probably used a CPL else the exposure time would have been shorter for that kind of lighting.
