Welcome all to the Sunday Cat!, a weekly gathering of image makers on a subject of mutual interest, our feline friends. The Sunday Cat! has appeared each Sunday, except for a brief interruption in September, 2016, since Anton AK started the thread at DPReview on 23 September 2007. Successive thread managers have been John King, Warriormouse, Robert J, Coldamus, Robert J again (with an assist by StanTsui) and since September 2016, former lurker, me. When DPReview was threatened with closure in March 2023, the last regular Sunday Cat! there was hosted on 2 April 2023. Sunday Cat! found refuge here on 9 April 2023 and this week celebrates its 2nd anniversary here at DPRevived / The Photo Forum. :D

Thread Manager's Corner:
Last week was a quiet one. Perhaps the kitties were off sunbathing in inaccessible locations such as on the roof, or the yard on the other side of the fence. ;) This week, maybe some Wednesday cats will show up for our 2nd anniversary on the 9th. :D

Though small in size, the imprint they make on our lives is huge.

Mr. Me has not been very photogenic lately.

His visit to the vet on the 1st resulted in him getting a deeper cone to better protect his eyes from his paws, and drugs for pain so he wouldn't feel the need to rub them. This photo from the 2nd shows about all he was up for that day and the next. He seems to be doing a little better today, keeping both eyes open with no apparent need for pain medication. We're hoping the slow healing he is doing will get him well enough that he can ditch the collar at his next visit.
