Just had a long chat with Bob. His site is up and running but has a couple of bugs he needs to fix. Until that is done and we have sorted out all the catagories and some other stuff, this forum stays. Part of Bob finalising is that he hopes to be able to copy the data from here.
We won't be copying user accounts because there are almost as many over there as are here - and it will get very confusing.
One bug is a registration bug - you ARE registered even though there's a bug. If you cannot login after that, you can contact me here and I will change your password over there (I'm an admin on both sites).
So, you CAN use DPRevived.com but be aware that there are issues with replying.
I'll also post as another update thread on where we are and who's doing what.
Bob (BobN2) has fixed the 'cannot reply bug in DPRevived. So, that's good news.
He's also been in touch with the developer of the forum software and they are working together to provide a unique 'DPRevived' look & feel. So, it will change and it will get better. But it will take time, so please be patient. In the mean time, this forum is around for you to use.
I had a great chat with Bob last night where he explained his plans and also his photo history. I won't say much more here - it's up to him, I think.
I do know there are other forums which wish to provide landing places for DPReview migrants - if you feel somewhere else will be better, do let us know why - we want DPRevived to be 'the best' (but that can be different for different folks). The main aim of any such tool is to let you (the user) be happy where you are and to contribute and help us all grow. If could be us, it could be others.
