This is the weekly Collegial Show Your Photos Any Brand thread where we invite you to show your own pictures. It is collegial in that it is a pleasant and friendly place among photographers to share.

I will begin this thread each Monday (Pacific Standard Time) to give each of you all the chance to share your weekend photos with us, for those that follow a regular work week schedule and choose to do it that way. But the pictures can be taken at any time with any camera, including your cell phone. It's open to all skill levels from beginners to advanced. The images posted can be anything from casual snaps to extraordinary. I'll be sure to comment to each of your photos, if you choose to share. Replies from others are encouraged also.

The intent of this thread to mainly to just show photos in a relaxed way and to generate replies or comments about them. Generally I'm not planning to critique any image unless asked. But I or we may ask things about a photo that may develop into a discussion, always being friendly and helpful. It has been a request that I mention this and from what I've learned from past experience: Can you ask a member first if they would mind you editing their photos?

Remember it's all about the enjoyment of taking pictures regardless of what we have. We can learn from each. Please share any tips or techniques too. A narrative sometimes also helps. Thanks everyone for your participation.

    Subject: Free Air Show

The day after I paid to see the air show, there are also opportunities for a free air show. That would be from locations far from the airport. It helps to have a large telephoto lens like my Tamron 150-600mm lens on a crop camera. That way, even when we are far from the airport grounds, we can get some pretty unique pictures.

Photo No. 1 - Here's one place to tried to see if I could get photos through this fence.
    ResizedDPR1.jpg
    Model - Canon EOS RP
    ExposureTime - 1/640 seconds

    ExposureBiasValue - 0
    FocalLength - 24 mm
    Lens Model - RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM

Photo No. 2 - Well, I could take some photos through the fence with the Canon RP and the lens I was using.

    Photo No. 3 - Again....

Photo No. 4 - But I needed an open area where I could use the Tamron 150-600mm lens.

Photo No. 5 - I did find this open field. So that was a place I did get some photos of the planes. I thought they turned out pretty good, especially since they were taken from an area where it was free.

Later, I'll show these remaining air show photos.

    Subject: Free Air Show Photos

On Sunday the last of the three air shows, these were the ones that I got outside the airport grounds with the Tamron 150-600mm lens. Obviously I was not able to get as close as when I was within the airport grounds on Saturday, but I thought these came out pretty good too.

    Dig,

    I liked your Photo# 5.

There's a tension in the air that you can feel.

    Steve,

Thanks. We've had a mixture of clouds, rain and sun lately this spring which has made a lot of photos more interesting. You get those contrasts between very bright and very dark. The weather forecast is for drier weather after tomorrow. We had rain yesterday.

    Nice shots again @Digirame

I do have also a few from last weekend, again a bit cloudy but good enough for a hike.
Visited a small local reverse called Zeijerwiek where still some Tjasker windmills en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tjasker are used.

    Photobygms,

Thanks for taking us along on your hike where you show us all of that greenery. I also enjoyed seeing the Tjasker windmills. Thanks also for the link so that we could read more about them. What type of bird is that? I think I've seen some at our parks in Oregon. But they probably were pets that someone let loose, because I don't see a lot of them.

    David,

Excellent! You knocked it out of the park with that one. 😀 OK, this is what I liked. First you have good subject matter in front, with the photographer getting things set up for some apparent portraits. There's not a whole lot of other distracting elements like pedestrians or automobiles etc. You got great depth of field even using F2.2. There's not overly bright spots or dark shadows. It's a very well done photograph.

    Subject: Chalk Art

Generally we don't have a lot of graffiti where I live, but occasionally we will see it. Today I saw something that may be considered graffiti but it looked like chalk art on a sidewalk. I don't know how long it has been there or if the city will remove it.

So what do you think of it? Is it a patient in a wheelchair? Is it a prisoner being detained in a chair with hand restraints? Or is it something else?

No pets 😁 just a buch juvenile (European) greylag goose. It's one of the more or less common goose breeds you'll find in Europe😉

    I took these yesterday.

These are growing maybe 15' off the ground I have no idea what they are, but it's strange to see them up in the sky like this.

    Tim,

    Thanks.

    Now, isn't that cool

except for this part: {The Latin specific epithet radicans means "with stems that take root".[11] The plant is commonly known as cow-itch vine because skin redness and itching is experienced by some people after coming in contact with the leaves.[12])

I'm glad I didn't grab ahold of it for closer inspection 😀

    Steve,

Thanks for sharing with us the plant with the red flowers. I'm glad you didn't touch it either. Where we live, we have to be careful to not touch poison oak plants for the same reason. I saw some the other day while hiking.

    Photobygms,

Yes, that's a possibility that it is an electric chair. I wasn't sure if the fixture at the top was a light or a device to connect to the head for electrocution.

The other day I saw a pair of small nutria swimming around the pond near where I would see the Wood Ducks. Here's one of the pictures that I liked.
