This is the weekly Collegial Show Your Photos Any Brand thread where we invite you to show your own pictures. It is collegial in that it is a pleasant and friendly place among photographers to share.

I will begin this thread each Monday (Pacific Standard Time) to give each of you all the chance to share your weekend photos with us, for those that follow a regular work week schedule and choose to do it that way. But the pictures can be taken at any time with any camera, including your cell phone. It's open to all skill levels from beginners to advanced. The images posted can be anything from casual snaps to extraordinary. I'll be sure to comment to each of your photos, if you choose to share. Replies from others are encouraged also.

The intent of this thread to mainly to just show photos in a relaxed way and to generate replies or comments about them. Generally I'm not planning to critique any image unless asked. But I or we may ask things about a photo that may develop into a discussion, always being friendly and helpful. It has been a request that I mention this and from what I've learned from past experience: Can you ask a member first if they would mind you editing their photos?

Remember it's all about the enjoyment of taking pictures regardless of what we have. We can learn from each. Please share any tips or techniques too. A narrative sometimes also helps. Thanks everyone for your participation.

This is not my most successful panorama ever; but I like the colours of the sunset and the layers one often sees from this vantage point overlooking Vienna. It is made up of three shots.

When I go to Burger King, I usually get a triple Whopper and take two patties home for Monty. But this time he came with us. He can demolish a chopped up patty in a flash!

    Half way through the process:

    Nearing the end:

He also acquired an unexpected taste for fries that day!

    David,

I liked the colors from the sunset too. But in addition I liked seeing the blue sky and green grass, mixed in with the autumn leaves.

Many years ago a friend of mine left a 14- or 28-pound bag of dog food on the kitchen table. Their young Golden Retriever got up there and ate the lot!

    David,

That must have been a treat for your dog. Now, he will expect that all of the time, every time you go out to Burger King. 😀

    Subject: October Wood Ducks

Here's some more pictures of the Wood Ducks, but these are the ones I took in October. The lighting in some places is still challenging. It will be that way, until all of the leaves from the deciduous trees that surround this pond are gone. Then I should have better lighting. I also including some taken with my new RF lens and the Canon RP. I was just trying it out, knowing that the maximum focal length was less etc.

    Photobygms,

I liked seeing the mushrooms. We have some where I live, but I couldn't find any as colorful as you have found. What is that concrete marker? The photo of the path beneath the tree canopy with the people in the background is excellent. Oh, I loved seeing the blue sky too. We may see blue sky where I live today and for the next three following days...then the rains should return.

That Concrete marker is an old one from somewhere in the 50/60s those markers were used to locate underground power lines (10.000volt) used by the NS (dutch railway)
The PEB stands for Provinciaal Energie Bedrijf (translated Provincal Energy Company) and NS for Nederlandse Spoorwegen (dutch railway company)
Those power lines are not being used anymore but still there (to expensive to exavate)
