Pretty amazing architecture in this set. Our phones take disturbingly good pictures too.

Love that dog standing or rather sitting to attention.

A second set this week. Usually I show other peoples work, from mostly long ago. I was on site Friday to watch a 40m walkway that I engineered being lifted into position.

I have some nice shots of the guys working on the connections, but I have only one that I can post due to all the privacy crap and the other problems we have showing people working on site that we have to respect.

I shot these for my website and to post on LinkedIn to generate a bit of publicity. Sometimes my job and photography meet.

I only had the Z7 with 24-200, so this is a stitch to get everything in.

I had to crop out the guy holding the bridge in position with a crow bar.

Great variety. That one gives us the scale of the project.

Well, that's pretty impressive. Hats off to be able to design something like that. Although I'm surprised about the licensing element, is that just an Italian thing? over here, if something's hapenning in full public view, it seems fair game. Different if one is selling the pictures.

The big problem is when you photograph people at work. You do not want to show a guy working who is not respecting safety regulations, or who may have some other reason to avoid appearing in a picture. The privacy laws in Europe are pretty strict too. I cloned out the company logo. I was actually in the yard of a warehouse complex. I once had problems with a jobsworth in a company, whilst photographing an automatic warehouse I had done. So I am super cautious when I photograph work situations.

The magenta sky may be your addition but it's very effective!

Fabulous sky in this one too.

Interesting stuff. There must be a lot of satisfaction seeing a project like that come to fruition.

Every week shooting hard working, blue collar folks with equipment meant for supermodels and high art is always a trip. Any advice on finding construction clients looking for photo/video content?

That's big & impressive. It's great to be able to design and be involved in projects that last for ages. Well done.
Something solid that you can visit and admire in the future.

I went for a walk (looking for a place for my cubs to build a den) and just happened to notice this shot. Apart from a bit of overexposed sky, I quite like it.

Much too much going on this year, so I didn't get to the annual Tulipfest in Albany, NY when the flowers were at their peak. I did manage to get out this afternoon, and got a couple of decent shots, but there weren't many good blooms left to work with. At least I got there, though...

All with the S5 and Sigma 150-600mm with an extension tube, on a monopod.
