    Thanks
Yes .-) the paragliders were lucky they could fly as high as they liked on that day, without any fear at all that the wings would fall off ;-)
A bit hazy for my taste though.

Two weeks earlier, we went up the Bischling to test if it would be feasable to get the wheelchair up to the top.
--> No problem, the staff were very helpful!
But on that day, two weeks ago, it must have been "too sunny"; 15 mins after we had left and had driven off home, a tandem flight crashed on take-off and the young lady guest had to be taken to hospital with a helicopter, Serious "cuts and bruises" :-(

The woman is an Ai addition, rest of it is unaltered.

You certainly 'got away' with this, I love it.

I have used selective colour but not a big fan of it nowadays. And I don't think there's enough colour in the subject to justify it here.
Is the woman the only AI element? Crazy that one needs to ask.
I guess you may have wanted to emphasise her, because her face is obscured, but the lead lines take you towards her anyway. Maybe a bit of shadowing here and there would have done the job.

I left the woman colour to emphasise the AI and yes more dramatic higher contrast BW conversion will work well there. It is Panasonic's own profile with auto settings of LRC.
It is unbelievably good result, albeit I needed to generate a few time until I get this. I asked exactly this a woman holding the rail with one hand and combing her hair with the other, a dress with open shoulders and legs. It will be hard to believe photos

I've tried not to be too heavy handed, but there is a slight yellow push overall to compensate for the cold colours recorded by the camera's auto white balance out in the field, plus a bit of an additional magenta/yellow push in the upper 40% of the image to remove the drab looking blue and draw out the slight orange tones that were emerging in the sky at that point in the evening.

You'll also notice that the original image looks quite flat and underexposed, this is because I nearly always shoot with the flat profile and ETTR with the histogram, which generally produces images that need additional work, but pretty much guarantee the highlights aren't blown (as long as there's not too much dynamic range for a single exposure as seen in the tree lined river shot).

I ask this first....is there a reason the through your eyes and weekly critique thread aren't just one weekly "post and talk about'em" thread? I mean, are both threads not sort of serving the same function overall?

This set comes into it own when you enlarge the pictures. The last one is the most immediately nice picture, but the shades in the other too are nice when you spend some time with these pictures.

The first and the sixth picture are the standouts in this set.

When are we going to see the Lake District again?

Looks like you had a nice day out. Paragliding is definitely not for me.

I prefer this to your previous shots - maybe I'm just not a fan of pink 😉

Good question, although it's only been a couple of months since I was last up there poking around the Tilberthwaite quarries. I've got some time off in August, so I may take a trip up if the weather has cooled down a bit by then (yeah, that sounds counter intuitive, but typically my August week off is accompanied by some of the worst weather, so you never know).

It is fascinating to see the effect of erosion on such a hard surface.
I am wondering how this granite will look like when polished? I have seen unremarkable stones from outside yet looks beautiful when polished.

Another nice set, very nicely shot with clinically sharp and geometrically correct for my untrained eyes. I agree with you about baroque style. I find it usually hilarious.
