I love those rare days when the fog and cold coats the trees like this shot. The tree has a lovely form.

This shot needs to be seen big. It is so peaceful.
Nicely done, with that dominant red. But looking through the windows, at the people crushed into those trains is a bonus.
Nice but could do with a contrast bump.
Yes, I remember now.

My photography is bit down recently, warm cloudy weather with ice on roads does not invite going out for shooting. So I'll torture your ears with another set of rock music.
2 weeks ago I visited rock club where 5 estonian and finnish rock bands performed. It was quite big effort from me to sustain 5 hours there, as previous evening I visited another club where 2 bands performed with my camera and had one beer too many, so my inner energy levels were quite low. So I planned to take this 5-hour show easily and started with energy drink instead of normal beer to pace myself though evening. Alas, during second band power went out due to snowstorm and next 2 hours people spent in candle and mobile phone light, waiting for power to restore. Fortunately beer was still cold and cash was accepted, so it helped to spend this waiting time. But all this meant that the evening lasted over 7 hours and I got home around 3 AM, after my struggle through snowstorm, very-very tired. Oh, well, at least wait was well worth of it, for last band all the light show was turned on and music was to my taste: melodic, engaging, expressive.
Some high energy stuff here. Very different from your sweet little bird shots.
Great set.

I am well and truly in the photographic doldrums at the moment. Nothing seems to inspire me to get out and do some photography. Here is one shot I took whilst out with my wife just after Christmas. The Reggia di Colorno is on the Po, near Parma. The fog came down, but we did have a good lunch in a trattoria we know just over the river in Lombardy. This was the only shot I salvaged from our day out.
That's a shame. The muse will return. Especially if you buy a bit of new kit.
I have far to much gear, I would love to get rid of some. My more battered Z7 might get swapped out for a Z8, when I have some spare cash, and i can trade in a lot of stuff I hardly use.
An absolute beauty, maybe lop off 10% of lhs, if I dare to suggest...
Still pretty frosty here at home in Pilsbach
Oh yes. Immaculate.

Oh, that wonderful light...
Very effective.

All wild, but all good.

Lovely and very peaceful.

I actually thought considered that for some while but didn't. Felt it created a weird ratio.
But just for you... (and you're probably right).
Ice Art @ -20C
Nice. I prefer the soft background in the first with the wider area of focus in the second... But at -20 I wouldn't be too picky 😁
This is a good one, those warm colours are lovely. The slight crop ypou tried also works well.
The silhouettes look really good here especially when doubled up in the reflection.
He's carrying quite a load on the motorbike.

We had a day of sunshine last week, a rare break in the grey winter.
Later in the day we drove over to Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, just a few miles away. It's famous for it's reedbeds and associated birds. There were a few interesting ducks... But they're a tricky subject on this thread 😉 There was a bit of warmth in the sunshine, but as it went down it quickly became bone chilling damp cold.
Catching the last rays.
These two really capture the warm light, the birds sitting in the tree are a nice bonus :-)
