Nice effect of the tiered gables.
Events? Would love to know 😁

I bet they're pussycats in the daytime 😁 Great captures.
I think this is one of those comparatively rare occasions where I prefer the B&W
Nice geometry in the Walls, and nice textures in Crumbling

Great pictures as usual. Is the music as gory as the performers?
I see a slight Aurora. I had to search for the cows.
Did you hand hold these, or have some sort of support?
Footbridges vibrate nicely. It is quite easy just moving your body up and down to set them in motion as your movements quickly align with the natural frequency of the bridge and resonance sets in.
I would have to ask my wife to translate the latin, but she claims to have forgotten it. Her aunt was able to translate all the epigraphs on the stones in a Roman monument we visited once, which was pretty cool.

It seems to me that the greater problem is being able to read all the letters accurately.

Crumbling
If I stepped into the previous picture and turned 90 degrees to my left, this is the view I'd see, looking back across the crumbling walls. The hill on the horizon has the Big Grey Stones stacked on its left slope and the Hanging Stones poking out of the right.

Interesting, not anyone I'm familiar with, although I do recognise some of the locations in that brochure, particularly this one that they've used in their banner image right at the top of the page (it overlooks the valley in Duxbury Park for anyone wanting to photograph Chorley's woods on the cheap).
I'm surprised people will pay over £2K for four days in Chorley though, but hey, if people will pay it, then why not.
Rio, Brazil.
Excellent shot and processing is just spot on. Love how shadows create symmetry here.
A walk in the woods.
Glad to hear you're recovering !
2 weeks ago went for a pleasant walk in the woods in Wolfsegg, Upper Austria. It's a small town a bit higher up with a view of the surrounding countryside. The sun was shining. Here's two shots from my phone.
...This weekend we're back in the mountains. There was some fresh snow last night and the sun is shining, so perhaps I'll get something good to post next week :-)
Great photo, I like that scenery is bit hidden behind trees and it's upon imagination to work out what can be seen when following path.
Good to hear you are at least functioning. Hope the recovery continues.
A Walk in the Dark
On Wednesday evening my phone pinged to tell me there was a red alert for aurora, and since this was the first such alert I'd had when the sky was completely clear of cloud, I grabbed the camera and headed out to the nearest clear view to the north. Needless to say, in the ten minutes that took, the aurora had fizzled out, but it was a beautiful moonlit night, so I didn't rush back.
This was the most I saw of the aurora, so didn't think it worth pursuing to a better viewpont. The moon was casting shadows across the field and illuminating the distant slopes of Lamachen hill. Then I sensed something moving in the dark... sheep?... cows? (both often grazing in this field)... no, deer.On the way home I crossed the suspension footbridge over the river Cree and tried a couple of shots. I realised how long it takes the wobbling from anyone walking on the bridge to settle!
Seems like good location for astrophotography and auroras, now it will be probably best time for it, still long enough nights and getting warmer. Just bit of luck needed...

Photos from latest show. First band is local with singer from Italy. Second from Brazil.

Thanks. Their music is categorized as black metal, so yes, almost as gory as it gets. Maybe only death metal is even bit further. But it was great energy exchange, i felt myself like charged particle after show.

I propped the camera on a gatepost for the first, on the bridge rail for the second. I did take a tripod with me but was too lazy to set it up.

I was surprised too! Why not indeed. Perhaps there's a lucrative sideline for you there 😉
