Just popping in to say hello ....

Saturdays are a difficult day for me to post these days, and so I haven't been around much. Anyhow, I am still photographing a lot of shelter dogs -- over 200 dogs a month. Here is a sample of some of the recent photos.

A collage of a handful of recents:

That's really effective. Well spotted framing!

Hello! Nice to hear from you.

I thought this was some sort of PP, until I enlarged the picture. Very clever.

I like these two particularly. The background is nicely blurred. The last shot is a nice symmetrical design.

Thank you. I liked them too. And, suprisingly, it is what I wanted to take, rather than finding them in the photo afterwards.

These two are also my favorite from your set. In the second one, the green/yellow thing in the background is a bit disturbing though. For such pictures, two tricks I learned that may be of interest :
    - use your hand or something to make shadows. A shadow behind your subject ça make it pop like in the first one above, and, more difficult, a shadow on your subject to make it contrast with an almost white background can be very effective.
    - if you get down enough and have some grass really in front of your lens, that can make a very nice "natural blur" at the bottom of your picture.

Sharpness is good even relatively SSS you used. You still use your Z7! I find a single camera too much to carry. I admire you guys dedication.

A bit of sunshine and warmer weather make a significant difference. I’m sick and tired of the cold and grey. OM3 is a great camera. Is it the new version or the old one? I had the old one and used the lens the a lot.

I must say that I don't like foxes, but they can be pretty when they are not malnourished. The show is pretty sharp despite double-glazing filter :)

Thanks for the feedback and ideas. The leaf was a crop from a larger image

As you can see - no grass around.

Thank you for the "behind the scene" explanation, I had a hard time figuring out what kind of fence you were using. Excellent idea, and it fits the subject perfectly !

I love the contrasting between the few green leaves and the red/brown colors everywhere else. Very nice forest, and good job ! And I trust you about the lost fallen tree, but in this picture the wall bits remain a nice subject.
