Thanks @JCDoss. Sounds like you are having a great visit. The dinosaur photo is cool. Nothing like a long trip to help decide what lenses to leave behind :). Agonizing choices. Hope you enjoy the rest of trip.

There were no opportunities for photography today, so only this safety shot.

We went to a craft store today. I took my camera. Here's a couple of shots. Posting a bit early because this place, which is already full, will be crawling with relatives in the next few hours. I'm guaranteed no peace for the rest of the day.

It was a travel heavy day today, and I had to drive the whole time. I did manage to pull over to photograph these, which I think are quite a sight.

They are amazing to see. This is one time a blue sky works great for photography. Well done. Have a safe trip.

Still visiting relatives, the dog and I got a chance to sneak away down to the creek. He got in the water, but not before I got a shot of this handsome fellow.

I was a tourist in the town I grew up in today, at least for about an hour because the town is pretty small. Here's the county courthouse from almost right underneath it. I've been shooting in RAW+JPG since landing in the US, using the new Gold profile, and I quite like it.

One more for today. This is a statue of the second most famous person to come from this town. The first most famous, of course, is me, but Annie Oakley is almost as well known. I shoot almost as well as she did, but since I'm using a Pentax, nobody really pays any attention.

JCDoss the gold looks great. Annie shooting a Pentax would have been a history changing event. June 27 2023. Pentax K-1 modified by Kolari Vision for full spectrum. Pentax 60-250 zoom at 220mm With Kolari IRchrome filter. Filter mimics old Kodak color infrared film. ISO 800, F4 @ 1/160 handheld.

Wow, great work barondla! Those IR images are spectacular, and the drama created by the fly in a flytrap shot is super!
We drove from Ohio to Kansas City on this day (June 27). Wesley and I stopped for gas, snacks, and to visit the world's largest rocking chair and mailbox, among other very large things, in Casey, Illinois.

June 28th was our heavy travel day. We took an Amtrak train from Kansas City to Chicago and a flight from Chicago to Frankfurt. We had a few hour layover in downtown Chicago where I took this photo. You can see the haze heavy in the air from the Canadian wildfires.
