Post your pictures of trains and railways - old or new!
Here's one to start things off -
On the Great Central Railway (Panasonic DC-GX800, 1/500s, 25mm, f/8, 2019-2-3)
A different point of view for Witherslack Hall. Nice to see.
A common sight in Japan. I saw it many times whilst travelling there. Japanese are very proud of their trains and like making photos of them. Some stations have signs or tiles on the platform so you know where to stand to make photos.
Taken in Hokkaido
Pulling out of the station now... "Hokkaido Express Advance Train"
I also take photos of the inside of a train carriage, platform, signs etc. Plus trams/tube/metro :)

So I ran across this odd boy today; not exactly artistic, but I don't think I've ever seen one of these before.
(Sigma fp, Contax/Zeiss 45/2.8; first time trying it on the fp.)
Guessing it's the equivalent of a steamroller for tracks. ^^;;
Here's a couple of 'artier' pics to go with them; C&C welcome.
I'm in Antonito, Colorado, USA right now, working on railcars. No pictures yet, too busy working, so here's a few from past visits:
Chama enginehouse tracks, Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. LIght this time of day is challenging, sun has just risen over the mountains and hasn't sufficiently inclined to light the whole place:
This was the display locomotive in Antlers Park, downtown Colorado Springs, CO. The C&TS leased it from the city, took it to Antonito and restored it to operation. This shot was taken during a "photo charter", where they run out on the line to various locations; at each, disgorge the passengers who form a photo line, back up the train, run it by the photo line, then back up, pick up the passengers and go on to the next location. Like taking pictures of birds in flight tethered to the ground... 😆 :
A few from the Jungfrau region in Switzerland:
Wengeralpbahn from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheiddeg
Bernese Oberland Railway from Grindelwald to Interlaken:
Jungfrau Railway between Kleine Scheiddegg and Eigergletscher station:
And entering Eigergletscher station from Jungfraujoch:
