Interesting and thanks for sharing. I'll keep pondering on a purchase because it really does look interesting, especially the old car. (My camera is m43).

If his nickname is any indication, I am guessing that Rich must date from build year 1942.

I've enjoyed your conversation, and thought that the egg image was very satisfying. Simple and elegant!

I absolutely am in love with this oldtimer car image.
It is the kind of image that you can only achieve with an ultra fast lens.
I own a Voigtlander Nokton 17.5mm F0.95 that I have used mainly in dimly lit documentary circumstances (backstage of a circus etc).
The lens is so fast that it is nearly TOO fast to use wide open in broad daylight.
It needs ND filters in those circumstances and I hardly bother with that kind of accessories.
You've given me some ideas for extended use: upclose portrait-type images of objects that have a painterly quality.
In other words : your image has sparked my desire to go out and shoot some images myself.
What more could we ask for?

The Spark 2.0 with more control, lol. Like I said before, I am shocked at how this reminds me of the Mikaton 50mm at f0.95. It's got such a close "feeling" to that, and this lens is a fixed f5.6.

You are right Mike, this photo was taken in Tasmania.
We were on our way home after a nice day tour.

As if the gorilla were talking, I like the expression on his face.
Nothing distracts from the father (probably) and the baby, very good composition.

Interesting experiment, the vivid colors are immediately noticeable.
The color transitions are also extraordinary.
I would better preserve the facial contours of the subjects.

I really like the full size photo.
So much traffic at sea, very well captured.

Very good composition, I like the use of the red color as the main element.
The boy seems to have respect for what he sees on the wall.

    Rich,
This thread has winded down on Tuesday April 18 (Europe time).
I suggest you repost the image in the new edition for April 19 that I will start shortly.

Well this is now an example of the confusion regarding this thread I'm in. Namely, I can't find the third version of the weekly CC thread, so I can't find where to start and after my eye surgery I see a little less (temporarily) but still like to follow the contributions that others post here. So where do I start and how do I find the weekly starting points and where do I find it ?

    Thanks Lou

    Jim and Andrew,

I was stuck in a loop in the second CC version and couldn't seem to get out. I'm curious how it goes in the fourth CC version. Anyway, thanks you both.
