A group of us are discussing special interest weekly discussion threads. I am sure many take the odd animal / bird / insect shots but don't post them because they don't feel they are anything special or for whatever other reasons. The idea is to create a discussion around the process or other aspects of the capture not just on the perceived quality.

To test the water, who would be interested in regular contribution to a Weekly or Monthly (dependent on activity) Fauna thread or see themselves partaking at least occasionally? It would be managed in a similar way to the C&C and Weekly Through your Eyes threads where someone starts with an introductory preamble and the thread follows on from there.

    Bryan,

I'm absolutely amazed you haven't had any responses to this! Personally, I would like to contribute but haven't picked up the camera for a year, or so, now due to work pressures - hopefully that will be coming to an end later this year... I could always dig out a few old ones to show how not to do it!

    Hi Tim,

I did think there might have been some modest interest - wasn't expecting a flood.

New or old doesn't matter in the slightest. And we can only learn from "how not to do it" 😁

I have received a suggestion to start as a Share Your Favourites type thread to get the ball rolling. I think that is a good approach so watch this space.
