Testing the camera around the house and noticing this - it seems too sharp to be dust, and if it's a hair a rocket blower is not removing it. See images (centre right). Could it be below the sensor stack, which is why it is in focus almost. It shows lightly at f/7.1 and gets more defined towards f/22. Tested two different lenses, so it is definately camera related. I have contacted my dealer but appreciate any advice. PS camera been babied and only put the 24-70 2.8 on it nothing else, sensor shield is always set to close when off also. I decided to have a quick look at the sensor directly and I can see the little thing, but as I said a rocket blower will not move it and I don't have cleaning swabs with me nor feel confident yet to do that. It is tiny, but hard to see if it is above or below the sensor stack.

There is a circular (dust bunny) ? visible in both photos, at 10 o'clock below.
Not sure about the marks underneath the wall outlet.

Over the years I have rejected and returned three $1000+ lenses with foreign objects inside. Long story short… sketchy Nikon dealer trying to offload imperfect gear on a novice photographer. LMAO

Yeh those are from me trying to clear the mark no doubt...wall is clean with exception of below the outlet where my sons scratched it a little.

Looks to me like ordinary junk on the sensor. I would try cleaning the sensor before sending the camera back. First blower, then dry brush, then wet swab, is my approach. Some here seem to go months or longer without needing to sensor clean. But even when I am as careful as possible, I need to clean regularly. Good luck.

It does but wouldn't remove. They have taken it back and are sending another.
