Read in DPR that there may be a dedicated Leica forum on DPRevive. Is a dedicated Leica forum planned? Thanks.

It already exists but it’s very quiet in there. There was a request to increase its visibility, but that didn’t find favour with the admins.

I remember in DPR it was very late that Leica had a dedicated forum as well.

Yes, I propose it too, I think putting Leica inside the “other brands” category like if it was Casio is weird, but got no response from the admins, not about a couple of things:
having a dark mode and some sort of notification at the homepage like DPR to easily find when we have a response or a comment. 🤔 -
We could have a section entitled Leica and L Mount discussion if you wish. Who else is in the L mount accord? I know of Sigma & Panasonic. I can include Sigma, but Panasonic is already in another section.

All I wanted was to move some of the existing forums to a dedicated "L Mount" heading as I think some didn't want Leica lumped in with "Everything else".
At the moment, I think I will create a dedicated heading called "L Mount systems", and move Leica, L Mount and Sigma into that one. That's 3 forums which already exist so nothing new, just a re-arrangement. I may rename "L Mount" to "General L Mount talk". I will also add a new forum called "Panasonic Lumx S" if that is the L mount cameras (sorry, I am not up to speed with all the different options).
Will that do for now?

I couldn't find Leica on the home page, its visiblity is non existant, maybe a reason for low turnout. The URL on a previous post worked but I still couldn't find it on the home page. Sould be between Fuji and LMount.

I see it on the homepage, but only listing it under L Mount isn’t accurate. Leica L-Mount is fine where it is, but Leica M-Mount and the other Leicas should at least be under Other Brands if not top level like Fuji and Pentax.

I could have sworn it was under Other Brands previously. I went looking for it to reassure myself that this was easily done — and was surprised not to find it.
I concur that a subset of L Mount is less than ideal. None of my past association with Leica involves that mount and it is unlikely to be a feature of any future purchases either.

I don’t think that Other Manufacturers is appropriate because that would imply that Leica is non-active/legacy as much as Samsung, Kodak, and Casio are. If Pentax can have a top-level slot then so can Leica with several sub-forums of M-Mount, L-Mount (mirror), Other Leicas.

I've fixed it. L mount has it's own category and inside there are the Leica & L mount forums

Leica and L-mount are 2 separate things. My M8 and M9P bodies use M-mount lenses and not L-mount. the Leica Q has nothing to do with L-mount either, not a V-Lux or D-Lux cameras.
Sorry but I don't understand your criteria for why Leica can't have a forum in the main section like any other brand. If you see the current threads none has anything to do with Leica and L-mount.
