You certainly have lots of great looking flowers in your garden. It is a pity they don’t last very long isn’t it. Great pictures of them though.

That's a neat water park. It seems to be a place that would be great for a canoe. 😀 That gull looks wonderful with the reflection. I love your flowers. The damselfly looks super; I think I need to get a lens for those kinds of pictures. My older Olympus lens used to be great for that.

Thanks. When it's super hot like it was that day, the temperatures seem to be about 10 degrees less. I think it's because of the cold water and maybe just where it's located in the Oregon Coast Ranges.

I found a plan showing where the 1:1 copy of the Rathausmann is supposed to be. I went there and discovered an empty plinth. I had read somewhere that this copy had been taken for renovation in 2018. It is clearly not yet back. The plaque on the plinth describes the story, but omits recent history!

The plinth is very close to the Rathaus itself. The photo below of the Burgtheater was taken with my back to the Rathaus. We have wonderful modern, air-conditioned trams here. Most of them run every 3 or 4 minutes. If you look carefully, you can see the shadow of the top of the Rathaus tower on the Burgtheater, and on the foreground (left of centre).

I returned to taking photos of roses. The red ones are very difficult to accommodate on a photo. I have many failures; but I think this one is successful. In order to avoid burnout, I had to make the exposure 1.75 stops under what the camera wanted (i.e. -1.75 EV) and boost the midtones in PhotoLab.

I am amazed at the number of different flowers you have assembled here. It's interesting that they all have pink tints. Yours is a beautiful part of the world in this season. Thanks for sharing them with us.

It is hard to tell what kind of cable the squirrel is walking on, but possibly a.c. power as there is also a ground wire. The one at the top may be cable tv/internet. The problem for squirrels is that they do sometimes get into sub-stations and touch things they shouldnt, with disastrous results for themselves. This is often the reason for local power failures. All such cables are underground here. I recall visiting an otherwise lovely seaside town in Connecticut and finding so many power cables that completely spoiled any photo one might wish to take there!

More flowers! All I can find here are roses! (Not quite true, but almost so.) When I first looked at your tiger picture, I couldnt see the tiger, as the site has really messed up the small version of the photo. Clicking on it reveals the clarity of the photo. Great shot!

A great variety in your shots. I like the seagull catching the fly -- well done to get the exact moment! Your macro of the damselfly is also well posed and shot. Here in the big city, such opportunities do not present themselves. Thanks for showing these to us. It makes me think of moving to the country!
